Welcome to MINA: Empowering Mongolia through Microfinance and Business Creation

Since October 2000, MINA has been dedicated to alleviating poverty in Mongolia. Our mission is to empower individuals and communities by business creation and by providing accessible financial services and education.

Understanding the Challenge

In Mongolia, many people struggle with problems in obtaining a stable income. In addition, a lack of knowledge about financial management makes it incredibly difficult for people with a low income to make ends meet. Our goal is to teach these families how to handle their finances well and to create new possibilities for them to generate a stable income.

MBC Business Incubator

We provide comprehensive business training and coaching to urban residents, rural farmers and herder to become real entrepreneurs, to develop viable business plans and to navigate the challenges of running a business.

ABC Financial Literacy

Our ABC Financial Literacy Training equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage their finances, make informed decisions, and plans for the future. MINA has trained about 1,000 people in the various provinces, but also in the capital Ulaanbaatar.

MINA Cooperative

We offer a cooperative model that promotes financial inclusion and supports members in accessing affordable loans. The Savings and Credit Cooperative is a tried and tested mechanism for poor people to support each other.

Partnership MINA and MBC

MINA NGO established their own Business Training Center in Mongolia, alongside their microfinance activities. MINA believes that the MBC method of training and coaching helps potential entrepreneurs to generate an income, complements their activities and develops communities in Mongolia. MINA tailors these activities to the communities they are already working with. It will create new opportunities for those in need, by starting businesses for themselves and their families.
