My Journey to Entrepreneurship
Starting a business can be daunting, but for me, was an essential step I had long envisioned. “I am happy that I got my business plan,” I often remind myself now. For a while, I hesitated, knowing I wanted to launch my own venture but not knowing where to start. That’s when my sister, Hongoroo, encouraged me to attend a training program focused on entrepreneurship. Little did I know, this decision would change everything for me.
The training came at just the right moment in my life. I realized I needed guidance—while I had dreams of becoming a business owner, I lacked the practical knowledge required to make those dreams a reality. “It was very important for me,” I recall thinking as I immersed myself in the lessons.
Before the training, I was overwhelmed by the idea of running a business without any calculations or clear plans. I soon understood that having a solid business plan was crucial. The instructors not only helped me develop this plan but also guided me in understanding the specifics of my operation.
During one of my sessions, my teacher asked, “How much time do you spend on each product?” This question struck me because I initially lacked precise details in my business plan about production rates. As I began to evaluate my processes more closely, I became aware of how my previous calculations were unrealistic. While juggling my job with my business aspirations, I had not been following my plan effectively.
Through this training, I learned to focus on what tasks I could do myself and which ones I could delegate. I discovered that leveraging resources, like subletting certain tasks, could optimize my operations. Moreover, I began to analyze my potential income and started considering how much I might earn each month.
As I moved forward, I established a plan to monitor my progress during the first month—assessing how much I could produce, how many sales I could make, and which products were gaining traction. With careful reflection, I identified which goods would not only sell in the present but also have future potential.
Today, I can confidently say, “I am happy that everything is ready for me to start my business.” The journey has been enlightening, and I feel empowered to step into this new chapter. I have learned so much, and I want to take a moment to thank all my teachers for their guidance and support.
